General notes
on the documentation
The information in Parts 2,
3 & 4 relates to the manuals listed above and is a mixture
of circuit diagrams, usually accompanied by circuit board tracks
& components, front and back views.
However sometimes circuits are
missing
Component lists are in Part
1
Appendices for the English manual
are missing but can be seen in the German copy
Information on each module is
found by looking at the page number listed eg. 43/54 is Page
43 in Part 4 which has a total of 54 pages.

Operation of the SMDU
is not too obvious as separate oscllators for all ranges are
not fitted, instead, for the lowest range a 240MHz tuned oscillator
is used in conjunction with digital processing and mixing whilst
Range 2 uses the Range 4 oscillator with a frequency doubler.
Whether this was a ploy by the designers to make their job more
interesting or something really important technically... who
can say.. |
